Get launch updatesMac requirements
- macOS 15 or later. Check your version from the Apple menu under About This Mac.
- Apple Silicon is the first release target. The final supported-device list will accompany the public download; Intel Mac support has not been confirmed.
- Space for your media. Recording files, source videos and editable projects are saved locally. Longer recordings and larger output sizes need more free disk space.
Recording permissions
Screen capture needs macOS screen recording permission. A microphone or camera also needs permission when you choose to use it. Grant access only for the inputs you want in your recording.
Importing an existing local video does not require screen recording permission. If a recording input is missing, check your selected device and the relevant macOS privacy setting, then make a short test.
Using footage from a phone
You can import a video transferred from your phone, select a 9:16 canvas and prepare it for a Reel. The vertical video guide walks through that approach.
Recording an Apple iPhone Mirroring window is a separate workflow with Apple’s device and regional requirements. The app has a guided entry for it, but real paired-device capture is still being tested.
What happens after the trial?
The planned full license is $29 USD once for three personally owned Macs, with all future Mac app versions included. Read pricing and license details before deciding.
